The Church was established in 1947 and has since been the first and only Roman Catholic Church in the town of Wonder Lake. The parish supports a number of outreaches to the community and the under-privileged of Wonder Lake. It has opened up its property for the development of baseball fields used by Wonder Lake Boys' Baseball League and supports assistance to the less fortunate through the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
