Cub Scout Pack 456 —

Wonder Lake Pack 456 is sponsored by the Wonder Lake Firefighter's Association. We serve the scouting needs of students in and around the Greenwood Elementary School, which is part of Woodstock District 200, in north-east Illinois.

The pack is made up of 5 different dens - Tigers (first graders), Wolves (second), Bears (third), Webelos I (fourth) and Webelos II (fifth). Each den meets on their own, on a regular basis (typically once a week).

Once a month the pack comes together for a pack meeting at Greenwood School. Here we discuss the topic for the month, recognize the achievements earned by our fellow scouts, and discuss our up-coming monthly pack outing.

Our pack outings have included:

  • Sporting activities, such as roller skating and bowling
  • Family events, such as our annual ice-cream social
  • Trips to nearby sporting events, such as the Chicago Timberwolves (hockey) and the Chicago Rush (arena football)
  • Educational outings, such as our Earth Day outing to Waste Management
